Spatex® InShape Casings

Product description

Spatex® InShape is a uniqe solution, which serves for two purposes at the same time: it gives the product any desired shape as well as evenly distributes spices.

It is intended mainly for cooked products on the basis of stuffings with variable levels of fineness, made of both poultry and pork.

Spatex® InShape ensures a durable adherance of spice layer to the product during thermal processing and slicing.

The main advantages:

Conditions of storage

We recommend the following guidelines of storage for Spatex® InShape casings:

  • the casing should be stored in a shaded, dry and cool place away from sources of heat as well as zones with freezing temperatures
  • keep in original package at a temperatue 5-25°C and a relative humidity of 70-75%
  • expiration date: depending on the spice used in the casing (from 2 to 8 months)
  • after opening the original package, casings which have not been used up should be stored in sealed plastic bags and cardboard boxes to maintain an adequate level of humidity

Method of use

We hereby present you our instructions for use and heat treatment of Spatex® InShape casings:

  • the casing is ready to be used after removing it from its package (do not soak it before use)
  • put it on a stuffer funnel and fill it tightly, however do not overfill the casing
  • form the product applying pressure in order to remove any air bubbles
  • clip the casing or tie it with a twine
  • sample heat treatment process:

PARBOILING: chamber temperature 78oC until you get the desired temperature inside the generic bar centre

  • after thermal processing, it is recommended to cool down the product with an intermittent shower or in a water bath, then keep it in a cold store
  • after cooling the product, store in the cold store
  • before packing remove the non-woven from the finished product
  • before distribution the product requires packing in MAP or VAC
