The last period of time was very productive in terms of our participation in events such as conferences, trainings and business events. Take a look at short reports from these events:
On 23th September in Zawiercie we took part in a conference organised by our partner company PROMAR, under the title ‘EFECTIVITY - how to improve the operational effectiveness in the food industry’. Nomax Group was a strategic partner of this event. The aim of the meeting was to focus experts from the food industry and encourage the participants to concentrate on the question of efficiency in the business.
Our President of the Board, Anna Domagala, delivered a speech on the conference, reporting on the Impressive and effective meat product branding methods. The prelection was recognized as standing out among the others and particularly interesting. During the speech Anna Domagala focused on the issue of the use of the product packaging as the brand carrier and creating given emotions in the customers in order to boost the sales. This topic stands in direct correlation with intensive development activities conducted in the company. At the beginning of this year, Nomax Group presented two new products, which serve exactly this purpose – BrandNet, a meat netting with a printed label and Collarex, an edible collagen casing in any shape.
Th speech of prof. Stanislaw Gwiazda was also particularly interesting, who spoke about improving the effectiveness and innovativeness of production in the meat industry, as well as about cost optimization and seeking new sources of competitive advantage.
On 23-26th September at the International Poznan Trade Fair another edition of POLAGRA FOOR International Trade Fair for Food took place. It’s a project with a long tradition, which advertises itself as the most important event for the food industry in the whole year. At the same time, other events took place – Polagra Tech, Polagra Gastro, Invest Hotel, Taropak and Logipak. A total of 63 000 professionals from Poland and around the world visited the Trade Fair. During the Fair a number of inspiring side-events were held – conferences, expert panels, trainings and discussions. It was also a great opportunity to strengthen and establish new relationships with customers of Nomax Group. Our stand, as part of the “Meat from Poland” stand organized by Polish Meat Association, was literally besieged by interested customers almost all the time. Visitors also had the chance to get to know our products closer, as some of them were available in a special display cabinet.
Every year during the Trade Fair a MTP Gold Medal award ceremony takes place. This prestigious awards, with more than 30 years of history, was granted to two of our products – BrandNet and Collarex. The experts judging the event recognised them as innovative, aesthetic, economic in use and safe for the environment. This unique award of industry leaders was received by Vice-President Aleksandra Ilnicka-Loza.
Due to celebrating 95th anniversary of the Fair, representatives of Nomax Group took part in celebrating “9.5 Gala – Senses and Elements”, held in the magnificent MTP Hall of Earth. Energetical music, performances and show, interesting facts from the history of the fair and delicious traditional food – this is a brief description of this special evening.
On October 14th in Warsaw our representatives participated in the second edition of the Packaging: Marketing and Technology conference, which was organized by the Institute of PWN. It brought together over a hundred professionals from different sectors, responsible for the creation and development of products, design and production of packaging as well as promotion and creating brands. The event was divided into three thematic blocks, focusing on modern technology, marketing, packaging and legal requirements and rebranding. Expert lectures on the visual language of packaging, packaging of emotion and analysis of the most known brand mistakes were particularly engaging, presented by Michael Kociankowski (Materials and packaging technologies supporting the expected brand characteristics and the product reception by the consumer) and Robert Lis (Packaging in the marketing mix. 10 mistakes on the way towards increased sales).
The conference was a good opportunity to exchange experiences, make new, interesting business contacts and deepen our knowledge about marketing packages. We returned to Piekary full of inspiration!
The biggest event attended by representatives of the Nomax Group in the last couple of weeks was the ninth edition of the Food Market&Retail Forum, which was held on 17-18th of October. Organized annually in Warsaw by the editors of industry media portalspozywczy.pl and dlahandlu.pl, it is the largest conference addressed to the food industry and trade in Poland. It brought together hundreds of representatives of key businesses, producers, processors, distributors and retailers of food and beverages in the country. The conference was co-organized by professional organizations, and government representatives. This year's edition of the Food Market&Retail Forum was focused on innovation in the food industry, considered in the broad context: in products, in marketing and manufacturing. The event was held in the convention of short presentations, followed by debates and expert speeches. There was also a ceremony of "Food Market" awards and certificates of "good product." Forum is a place for exchanging knowledge and experience and platform for the promotion of innovative solutions with excellent reputation. We are pleased to take advantage of the numerous opportunities for networking and informal business meetings. Our attention was especially focused on the panels: Sell emotions rather than products! - New challenges for marketers, and the meat industry - a key advantage of Polish producers of meat and meat products, dominated by discussion about the current problems of the sector.

Straight from the Food Market&Retail Forum our delegation went to Paris to visit the SIAL trade fair, which is the inspiration for the food industry. More than 7 000 exhibitors and almost 155 000 visitors gathered on 16-20 October in the French capital to share innovative ideas, present distinctive products and to exchange experiences. Held since 1964, over the years the SIAL trade fair has become the global reference point for the most important players in the food industry, retail and hotel business. This is the key meeting place for producers and consumers, putting special emphasis on the world's biggest industry challenges.
Participation in all of these events have already brought the first results. We are full of inspiration and motivated to continue to provide high-quality, innovative services related to packaging in the meat industry, which we do with passion.
